Ilian Pavlov
Deputy Mayor for Transport and Urban Mobility, Sofia Municipality
Ilian Pavlov is an engineer in transport construction, he graduated from the Transport Faculty of UASG. He has worked as a technical manager and knows in detail the process from design to completion of complex infrastructure projects. He has been an entrepreneur, part of a number of start-up companies, where he has been involved in creating processes, structures, working methodologies and achieving significant results.
Pavlov has been involved in a number of urban improvement projects and the development of transportation modernization strategies and projects, including a 4-year bikeway expansion plan, a neighborhood parking construction plan, and public transit company reform.
Ilian Pavlov was instrumental in the development of the Samara multi-storey car park pilot project in the Mladost district, which brings cars together and frees up space for a quality urban environment for citizens. Another of his projects is a pedestrian crossing at the Largo, where minimal changes streamline traffic and allow for a pedestrian connection between the north and south sides of downtown.
